Unfortunately something that shouldn’t have been in there was microwaved and it burnt out. The pattern layout was difficult to position correctly and adjustments in the holes were required. Use of any other rack can result in poor cooking performance and/or arcing and may damage your oven. However, it should not be vented into a wall cavity, an attic or an unused area. The rear exhaust method is used for roof or wall-venting and you will need to make sure that there is enough clearance within the wall for the exhaust duct.
You need to adjust the blower if you want wall-venting or room-venting installation.
Is it simply operating as if it is cooking without actually doing so?
Simply wipe with a damp cloth—no chemicals, no scrubbing, no problem. The display will turn off when the unit is not active for 5 minutes. Only use the rack that is supplied with your rmicrowave oven. If the existing duct is round, you must use a rectangular-to-round adapter, with a rectangular 3" extension duct installed between the damper assembly and the adapter to prevent the exhaust damper’s sticking.

With it’s curved interior, you can fit up to 4 slices of bread or a 9″ pizza. Requires tape, ruler, electric drill with a 1/32″ drill bit and a ¼” drill bit, screwdriver and protective glasses.

As the instructions state, you do have to pull the toaster forward to get the two outter clips to rest firmly in the groove. It also seems like one setting for toast isn’t nearly enough but the next highest number ends up burnt. My conclusion – another case of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” and new isn’t always an improvement. Booklet is inaccurate and does not include necessary pictures/diagrams of steps. If your current screws are smaller and you have overhang cabinets. Cooking versatility is right on your countertop with it’s one touch toast, bake and keep warm controls. Recommended for installation only on flat bottom cabinets (without bottom light rail molding).
So far, knock on wood, it is holding very securely and has not fallen loose since being installed this way. The installation was not an issue, however the toaster oven will not stay on the front brackets. The standard video shows easy install in a cabinet with no overhang. I am stuck with two options – give up or re-tap the screw holes to use my current 4′ screws from the old installation. I cannot get the toaster over properly seated into the hood. Will this newer model fit in the old/existing bracket or does it have to hang in the new bracket?
