Sponge Candy Recipe by epicurious.com

A love for the crunchy sweet led to recipe experiments in the kitchen.

Pack it in jars or airtight tins, and store at room temperature; exposure to moisture and air will soften the candy. Cut or break candy into large pieces (save any small pieces or shreds to use as a topping for ice cream).

We didn’t sift and certainly didn’t halve the recipe. If the baking soda or vinegar are too old, it won’t puff, and if the ratio is wrong, it won’t puff. It needs to stay puffy, cause the holes are what makes it crumbly.

I think it would make a nice base to a dessert or confection. Randi recalls watching her mother make this magical confection–the baking soda causes vigorous bubbling. Combine sugar, corn syrup and vinegar in heavy large deep saucepan. Immediately add baking soda and stir until well combined (mixture will foam vigorously). Using foil as aid, lift, candy from pan; fold down foil sides. I have never added vinegar, it seems to work fine without it. It is definitely worth dipping the peices in chocolate, albeit time-consuming.

You have to sift the baking soda, don’t overmix the mixture once it puffs, and don’t let it turn too dark. It’s easiest to do a half recipe, and pour it on a silpat mat to cool. Especially good when dipped in warm, homemade hot fudge sauce!

TOTO LPT532.8N01 Promenade Lavatory and Pedestal With 8 Inch Centers Cotton White by amazon.com

Unlike other commenters, the top and bottom fit together perfectly straight from the box. After our renovation, it is now a pleasure to use this sink. This unit features traditional styling with distinctive lines and a luxury deep bowl for comfortable use. Superior quality backed by over 90 years of experience creates many benefits. Reliability translates into reduced maintenance costs and superior performance. I was nervous because other reviews mentioned the sink and the pedestal not lining up, but ours was completely fine. The area behind the pedestal is ample but still hides the plumbing.

We still have another bath to renovate and will see how that one works.

The Home Depot Somerset by homedepot.com

No big deal if you are a joe homeowner but if you drive a large van or truck forget it. Add to that the rental trucks and its like they could care less about contractors now. She really helped me as it was overwhelming but she made it so painless. After shutting off the canopy parking they negleted to alter the lot parking making larger spaces for contractors if you look at the yellow “pro” area its a joke way to few spaces and way too small.
